Of course it is the one between #4 and #2. :mad2:

I am using the German clampless return lines that has the fabric braid on top.

I had two leaking on that side and I replaced one to cure it. This weekend I replaced the #4 to #2 and it was soaked again after a short drive. I pulled the turbo for other reasons so it was easy to get to.

Defective hose? Do I need to put clamps on anyway? I really don't see any drips or leaks off the injectors. I do have the diesel smell from a small leak.

I had thesame leaker thing going on, so I found the clamps and reinstalled them. Problem solved. I am glad I am not only one this issue has happened to. I got new clips from small engine parts store.

I had the same leaking problem. You need to check real close as those lines don't normally leak. In my case it was the injectors. Wipe everything dry and hold your finger under the suspect injector bodies while the engine is running (if possible). If you can't do that, then swap the injectors to a location where you can test for leaks.

Ive had problems from factory rubber, tygon, and bosch cotton lines. I learned years ago to just carry some spare lines pre cut.

Yea my braided clampless lines were all like that on the passenger side. I got some smooth rubber clampless ones from Heath about 6 months ago and they haven't burnt up yet. Still look and feel brand new even with no heatshield at the moment...
