Retrofitting an auto-dimming rearview mirror/compass in a '95 Suburban question...

Hello Everyone,

New 6.5L TD Suburban owner.

I am asking if there is a factory connector or wiring harness already installed from the factory in order to install an auto-dimming rear view mirror/compass combo?

It was an option for 1995 Suburbans and the mirror I bought (not received yet) came from a 1995 Tahoe.

I searched with keywords and read all 29 pages of the Electrical forum - nothing about auto-dimming mirror installs.

I did the install on my truck, I believe 88gmctruck has a write up also.

The mirror write up starts on post #20.

I went to a wrecking yard and got the mirror. While I was there I also yanked out as much wire as I could get.

I put some pretty good details in my write up, need any help PM me.

Thanks for replying and your write-up will help. Now I have to source a temp gauge for the mirror...
