Anyone tried those diamond cut replacement headlights? I believe they take a different bulb than stock. I was thinking on getting a set as my stocks are getting cloudy, and I am getting older and it's hard to see at night. Or should I get some new bulbs and polish my stocks?

Nooo, stay far far away from those. I had them on my S10 Blazer and they are terrible. There is no Beam Pattern to them. More like a Flood Light and throw light everywhere.

These are the BEST you can get, and have a VERY nice Beam Pattern. You'll think you were Driving with your Parking Lights on before after you Install these: http://www.rallylights.com/detail.aspx?ID=744

Here's an Output Shot of the E-Codes, nice, bright, and wide:

Ok, good thought you just made me have. Do you guys have the Thin Dual Headlight Setup, or the big Square Single Headlight?

1994-1999 Suburban Grille... and no, those won't fit...

Try looking here...

You can probably find better prices, but at a quick glance, this is what Google turned up.

I bet some of our vendors can get these for us, and probably cheaper and better. Have you asked the guys?

Ok, I was thinking you had the other Front End. My Friend had a Tahoe with that Front End and used the Projector Lights, and they actually had a nice Beam Pattern, and were Bright. Unlike pretty much EVERY other Aftermarket Projector Headlight out there. I think it stayed bright because it still used the 9006 Bulb, instead of switching over to an H3 Bulb, which is a Fog Light Bulb.

I've been looking at replacing the front grill and headlight light mounts so I can use the 200 mm rectangular bulbs. It would also require different side markers and parking lights.
Some 1998's had that setup so a used grill and headlight pots from a wrecker, or a new grill from LMC or any other supplier would work. The advantage is that that style throws a whole bunch more light and in the right places. Another plus is the clarity of glass versus composite. The disadvantage is that style of grill may not appeal to some as much. I think the four headlight system looks better, but only before I end up with a 700 lb. elk in it!! No joke, I work on the TransCanada Highway in the foothills and haul roadkill off at least 3 times a week.
I should also mention that I got the diamond cut style kit off the internet and they are worth less than I paid, which wasn't much. They didn't throw much light and were very cheaply made. There may be better products out there but I will be going for the 200's soon.

i had a set of the projector beams and GARBAGE. I ended up putting the originals headlights back in albeit with 100 watt redline bulbs. and that is low beam. hi beam is stock. gonna do the 4 headlight mod soon. Ed

i run regular 55/65 9006/9005 light bulbs in mine the set i bought came with 4 new light bulbs in place, but i already had a set of silverstar ultras for my high beams that i put in, id have silverstars for my lows but for what they cost im not gonna wear them out withthe DRL's. that and i live in the counrty so i use high more than anything. just make sure you adjust them mine still need a little bit of tweaking i dont have the best places to do it

im looking to go to hid's soon

the OEM lights on these trucks are awful, running higher wattage bulbs make little difference ,because of the wimpy wiring it can not carry enough jiuce to them ,quality harnesses are available from various venders. Also H I R bulbs are a good upgrade ,and relitively cheap, these two plus the $100 clear headlights of ebay and you have an excellent lighting system much better than the HId s my buddy paid $400 a side for !!):hhttp://dieseltowingresource.com/images/smilies/hihi.gif

Something else to consider is how well do the composites throw off the extra heat of more intense bulbs. Especially if you run the heavy duty wiring harness like me. I seem to go through bulbs in the summer far more than the winter.
