Replacement for AirDog Fuel Filter

What is the gph rating of your airdog?

150 gph.

I see the filer # for the AirDog is FF100. Its about 16.00 a filter from what I can see. Would be nice to find another filter to work for it.

From the search I have been doing it looks like the GPH doesn't make a difference. The only thing that does is if you want the 10 Micron or 2 Micron Filter.

For the AirDog's, they all use the same filters regardless of GPH.

The FASS 95's use the same filters as the AirDog's, but the FASS 150's use much larger filters.

Let me know if you need the filters, I stock the Fleetguards for the Airdog and FASS 95's in 2, 7 and 10 micron ratings. I have the FASS 150's in 3 and 10 micron ratings.

If it's for anything with a high pressure common rail system, you want a 7 micron rating or better. The older systems can get away with 10 micron, but there was a bulletin put out by Cummins addressing the filter rating and recommending 7 or better.

For the FASS 150, the Fleetguard part numbers are HF6601 and HF6604. There is a HUGE difference in price between the two. The HF6601 is rated at 10 microns and the HF6604 is rated at 3 microns.

Thanks! I'll be picking me one up soon. How often do you need to change these filters? Every 10K like the OEM Filter?

On the AirDog and FASS 95's, you can go 15K on the filter and 30K on the water seperator.

On the FASS 150's you can go 25K on the filter and 50K on the water seperator.

When you change the fuel filter, just rinse the water seperator with a bit of clean diesel and reinstall. Unless it's nasty, you can re-use it. It's only a wire mesh screen and rated at 144 microns, so the only thing it really stops is water, sticks, bugs, big dirt clods, etc.

One thing I usually recommend to folks in colder climates is the run the 7 micron filter in the winter an the 2 or 3 micron filters in the summer. Only reason I say that is I've seen guys have issues with clogging due to fuel gelling in the 2 & 3 micron filters.
