Remote Oil Filter Mount

Or you can build your own...

Perma-Cool spin-on adapter on block and Perma-Cool dual remote mount on A/C bracket. Safe in engine bay from road/off-road hazards/debris.

You can install just about any spin-on oil filter that will fit. I use stainless steel washable 22 micron oil filters.

Use a good size diameter hose (to prevent laminar flow and decreased flow rate), stiff as you can get to prevent bulging under pressure (pressure will drop), only as long as needed (setup will still increase your oil capacity).

Regards,
Franko

Where do you get stainless washable oil filters? Can you get finer that 22 micron?

so that adapter from summit screws into the place that the oil filter housing is right now. its been a month since ive been under there and i forgot if theres threads there

yes, I can't remember if you have to remove the nipple fom the adapter or if it stays in the block but you have what you need there to screw the adapter on.

I just found out that my 3" body lift makes oil changes VERY easy. LOL I was able to reach in from the wheel well and spin the filter right off with no trouble at all! :)

Hello Rodd,

I picked up four (4) of the SS washable oil filters about three (3) years ago at cost (~ $85) directly from Chris, the president of the company that made/sold them, when I explained the three projects I was going to apply them to, so long as I sent him photos. I cannot find a link anymore and his e-mail is no longer active. The filters were sold as Royal Oil Filters by Chrisco.

The projects were/are:
(1) in-engine-compartment remote oil filter,
(2) warmed WVO filter set up, and
(3) crankcase blowby filter/collection set up

Placed the third one on hold until I get the Beast running again.

They were/are working GREAT for the first two, though.

Regards,
Franko
