$3.00 per bulb to replace a turn signal lamp is nuts! The 2 pack at local parts store is getting extremely high priced. Maybe I can get a bulk (as in more than 2) package of lamps like the olden days had of like boxes of 12 lamps to cut costs?

Next time you are at a junkyard you should leave with a bag of bulbs... :rolleyes5: Just not fun to change them often...

Ideas?

CARQUEST still carries WAGNER bulbs for about $.50 in a bulk box. Last box of 194's I got came out to $.32 a bulb VS the $3 for the 2 pack. NAPA may also still carry them in bulk packs if you ask them.

:hypnotized: I go through 194's like candy! Looks like I need to check CARQUEST out.

If you can get 194LL, they are long life. It has almost pure tungsten in the filament, they last about 5 times longer. same for all bulbs1157LL,3157LL,etc. Usually twice the price, but worth it imo.

:skep: Don't drink the LED last forever Kool Aid! It is Bull Snot! My 1995 3rd brake light has several out. The trees scrape the expensive LED trailer lights off. LED's dim over time worse than the filament type. LED's hate heat like we got. So they may last longer, but, not forever and one has to weigh damage potential and cost before using them.

Look at the suburbans in a junk yard: they are usually missing the 3rd LED brake light.

I even give HID's a thumbs up for longer life, but, I have seen they have life limits and quit reliably turning on.
