Have a few questions im going to re-ring my 95 6.5 and need to know the tourqe specs for the rod and main bearings and the method for putting the engine back in time

Na didnt know about them when i ordered the ones i got. Im hoping to get it tore apart tonight to make sure there are no cracks around the mains

Ok if i would of knew about them thats what i would of got but im borrowing a truck from friend and dont have time wait now on some new ones

These are the numbers off the back of my block do they mean anything special? This is my first diesel engine im used to gas

929 is your block #, one of the better ones, I think the first is your date code, a search may yield results. Someone will know the codes.

Flip it over and let the oil drain overnight. In the AM any mains cracks will show up as black lines from engine oil.

You may look into a rental of some sort to take the pressure off. To the point: take the time to do things right the first time rather than doing it over. There is ALWAYS time to do it over... ;)

That said vendors have parts laying around sometimes and can/will overnight them.
