Rats nest of wiring for remote start

So when I got the truck I noticed it had remote start and door lock installed but wasn't hooked up so I unplugged it well there is a rats nest of relays under the driver side that kept falling down so not thinking I unplugged them well now my driver door lock switch won't work. I forgot what order the relays went on started hooking wires up got it to lock but not unlock I'm trying to eliminate the relays.
 
If the aftermarket stuff required cutting stock wires you will have to rejoin them. Remove completely the stuff you want gone, but make sure the factory wire are unaffected or put back to stock.
You really can get into trouble if you don't do it right and one of the stock systems is tweaked but you don't know where. They could have a wire running all the way inside the door to interrupt the window, but if you did not know and disconnect the aftermarket brain then the window wont work.......ect
 
Well its only my door lock on my drivers side I messed up. uploadfromtaptalk1425833892155.jpg green and black makes door lock when touched to red wire purple wire makes door unlocked when touched to red. Green and blue are a mystery wire.
 
Are those all the factory wires? I looked in my 96 shop manual and do not see those color wires associated with the door locks, except for pink?

I don't know that's what the door locks were hooked up with then he had two relays inline with these wires.
 
Without being there its going to be difficult to figure out then. You need to trace back to the brain and see where/if those wires go to it or are factory.

Well I know the red wire Probably is that's the power wire. So I have to pull the door apart and rewire it your saying?
 
I wonder if they are just cables that are extended off of the original ones because the viper was mounted under the dash.
 
Yup. I have rewired a few, and they all sucked to do. Get the schematics before you even start, or you will be regretting it quickly.

Just find the matching wires and hook them back up. Maybe its just the one pink wire? Without knowing whats original and whats the alarm you won't be able to do much. Trace the wires from alarm and remove them one by one. If you get to one and it has interrupted an original wire then make sure you know where the other half of that wire is and reconnect it.....

Yea I'll try and find some wiring diagrams tomorrow when I rip the door apart.
Also I already have the viper system disconnected since I got the truck I just disconnected the relay because it fell down and hit my foot when driving.
 
The rest of the truck would have to be awfully nice before I'd buy it with messed up wiring.
I got the truck for 2500 with the lift and everything already done to it I didn't know it was messed up. I'm only fixing the door lock and leaving everything else the same.
Also going to do the ops mod I might need a new lift pump I've been having to give it throttle to start.
