I scratched my head a little to try and find a good spot to mount My new Filter Water seperator set up, I think this is a great spot, I added 1/8" steel to the face of the Upper rad Hose bracket because it was about 11 ga. then Made a mounting plate out of 1/8 inch steel for the filter itself then fit up a couple 1/2 inch Diam steel Tubes to fit the angle, Tigged her all up and sprayed it with Satin Black paint

Seems to be a popular spot for a filter set up. I put my veg oil filter there as well. Installed oil centrifuge on other side.

Looks real good. What series filter setup is that, the 230R?

From reading on their website it says the R20T filter is a 10 micron filter designed to be a secondary filter setup. I'd assume though that 10 micron is plenty enough to be the only filter? Offhand do you know what the factory GM filter is rated at?

Good to see someone local. I go up to Troutman on occasion. Nice area up there.

I believe the factory filter is a 5 micron. I added a 30 mic filter before the factory LP in hopes of adding more years to the pump life. Keep an eye on ebay for racor units. There is a seller with refurbished units selling very cheap. Mine looked and functioned like brand new.
