This really needs to be an FAQ or sticky, I searched and came up with no definate answer.

94 6.5T, stock glowplug system, I have access to 60g's, and Autolite 1110 and 1112 so which ones to use?

TIA.

60 G's but I would add the manual override because they take twice as much time to heat up than what the ECM gives them. Once I added my manual override with 60G's it starts great by doubling the time that the ECM gives them.

Its a customer truck so not rewiring it, guess I"ll have to go stockers.

Thanks.

Ok, I'll put 60g's in then.

Any reason why not to use the Autolites? Do they have the swelling tip syndrome?

I just did a field test, I tested the Heath one's, having cold start issues-just tested the right bank, 3 started to glow in 5 secs, 10 secs getting there, 13 secs full blast, one took 10 secs to start glowing. Then the 60g's, took aprox 5 secs to start glowing 13 secs full glow, then the 1112's, started glowing at 3-4 secs, full glow around 10 secs but the tip got large,

Got it all finished up, glow plugs stay on for aprox 10 secs, fired right up. I think he'll have to do it twice in winter but right now, no problems.

Ive replaced the glows in my 95' and 96' with ones from kennedy and I couldnt be happier with the results. I never have to cycle more than once to start in the winter. But thats just for us "flatlanders" down here in CT :D I could see alaska or canada being a different story

I've got the Duraterm's in my pickup. It's started at 0*F(new years eve 2008-2009) without being plugged in with one cycle of the glows.

60G in mine, had 1110 Autolites for a while, box said those were direct replacement for 11G which is what came with both my 98s from GM, 11Gs don't swell like the 9G did, but don't like extended glow so on possibility the 1110 Autolite was exactly like 11G I removed them and swapped to 60G, which is what Bill recommends for most folks last time I talked to him.

who should i buy from are there any kind of waranties any where? im ganna change glows idk whats in it but even in summer i have white smoke sometimes so i think they need changed befor winter gets here
