I'm Hard-Wiring my Line Of Fire Bar to only come on with the Brakes. No Running or Turn Signals.

Yesterday I Tied it into the Black Ground Wire, and the Dark Blue Brake Wire in the Trailer Plug Harness Wiring, and when I Hit the Brakes, the LOF didn't Light Up.

So I Pulled the LOF Wires Out of the Trailer Harness, Tied them Up and Tucked them away.

Question is...could that Dark Blue Wire in the Trailer Harness be on a Switched Circuit, and it only puts Out Power when the Truck is Running / Key On?

I thought of that after I was done with everything, and didn't wanna Jump back into it.

I don't think that circuit will receive any power unless you have a brake controller installed since the blue wire is for the electric brakes. The tail lamp (brown) wire is the one used for brake lights, but you'll also have parking light power with that. I bet you could use it without a brake controller if you wired a relay to the brake switch in the brake controller pigtail with power to the blue wire.

Also, did you replace the dummy 40A fuse with a real one under the hood? When I was messing around with the brake controller pigtail to use for powering my gauges, I needed to install that fuse to get any keyed power there.

Got it all Working.

That Dark Blue is Dead, no matter what, so I guess like you said, you need a Brake Controller.

The only way to get it to Work the way I want it to, I have L&R Turn, and Brake.

It's Cool though, because when I'm on the Brakes with the Signal On, the LOF and my Tails Wig-Wag. They Blink Alternate from One-Another.
