I always use Windex without any ill effect, but my monitor is at least 8 years old.
I spray the keyboard with that compressed air "gasbuster" stuff.

I've had success with dish soap/warm water and follow with a microfiber towel on my monitor as well as the LCD TVs.

Truck Don't Smoke... Well...
CRT Monitors... it doesn't matter what you use on them.
LCDs... I use a screen cleaner made by Monster and a microfiber cloth. I use it on my two monitors and tv. Had it for like 2 years or so and bottle isn't even 1/4 used lol.
