Can I, Should I, drill and tap for the pyro gauge in the tail hosing from the turbo? Is an ok place or should I go somewhere else?

You should consider placing the probe pre-turbo so you get a more accurate reading. Mine is located in the passenger side manifold plenum where the turbo bolts up.

Drop the cross over pipe, drill a hole in it just below the LH exhaust outlet.
Weld in a bung and install the probe.

Dont be tempted to drill or burn a hole in the pipe as the crap left over will fly through the turbo and cause all sorts of damage.

Always remove whatever you drill and tap to be sure that there are no left over peices of junk in the system.

I put mine in the manifold right under the turbo. There is a nice flat land that looks like it was made for it.

Yep - if you drill it with a bit smeared in grease while the engine is running (make SURE you wear safety glasses!!) all the shavings will either stick to the bit or get blown out through the hole you make. There was a set of pics of that process floating around at one point...
