Problems with the turbo!

Hi there! I'm new to this forum, and I hope you guys can help me. I have a 1994 K1500 6.5 Turbo Diesel.

It starts and run just fine, but when it's at ideal temperature, the turbo stops charging, and when I hammer it it smokes black like crazy. It also "misfires" or something when I hammer it. I have no idea what the problem is.
