Installed this and I am not getting anymore boost 20 to 22 psi. Was wondering if the waste gate was starting to go. 165,000 miles on this truck and I bought it with 150,000 so I dont really know how this truck was treated before.

DO you have a programmer?? It wont go any higher unless you give the turbo more heat. Which you get from a programmer which adds fuel timing and fuel pressure ll which create more heat. More heat=more energy. THe more energy you have driving the turbine (exhaust) side of the turbo the more boost you will get. There are limits however. 33-35psi on stock LB7s is the max. After that you wont gain anymore power as the air will be too hot. and most importantly your turbo will go pop at some point.

If you do have a programmer. Then maybe you put it in backwards. Make sure the arrow points to the wastegate.

Banks Bullet

I have the bullet from banks. I run it in tow read 20 psi wot and then in sport and may hit 21-22. Also pull a 35 foot toy hauler and still do not get much over 20. The main reason I got increase valve was to help with exhaust gas temps while towing. I have 4 inch exhaust and aem intake.

Mine went an27psi with the valve and an Edge, I bought a Banks Big head waste gate and got 30psi............now I run 36!!!

ahh the recipe for disaster.

x2 on the gauge being tapped in the right spot. if you have a t in the wstegate line it needs to be before the valve.
