I changed my PMD last week and when pulling the resistor out it cracked, and a break ocurred in the silver leg or whatever it's called. I know it's now shorted and wondered if if can be re-soldered or if anyone has one cheap that I can purchase if I even need it in the first place.

Original and very brittle. It is a # 5 and I installed the new PMD with out it. What if any problems after fifty starts can or should I expect to see. I'm almost there and forgot about it with all the alt. troubles I've been having.

If you had a 5 to begin with 0mm^3 added calibration flow there should be no change as IIRC that is what the OBD-I s default to when a resistor issue happens, I don't know of anybody repairing them if you try it you would be the 1st I know of, I'll scrounge around and see if I have one stashed I can send your way

Be a good idea to get a Known good one in there for sure.

The only thing that will happen if you leave it out, is the possibility of a DTC setting at some time. Then the ECM will just default to #5 anyway.

I would not try soldering. If the thing shorts or ??????// you could damage the PMD or other electronics.
