Thought I'd start a thread where everyone could post their various symptoms. They are varied and numerous.

My 99 has started occasionally blipping the rpm. First time it happened I was backing up felt like I had accidently bumped the throttle. Has happened several times now.

I also had one stall from subzero temps, when it warmed up from the underhood heat radiating to it, it would be fine.

I have one that used to stall regularly. I used it for a spare one time and codes 35 & 36 would come up. (obd1) I could clear the 35 for awhile but not the 36. It also lost cruise control. It would not stall with those codes. Kind of strange.

Random crank no start. It just cranks and doesn't inject fuel similar to a gasser with no spark. It cranks and cranks. It might start if you stop and try again a little later. Ran fine for a while once started then would stall.

While sitting in a parking lot mine was starting to rev up while in park by it's self, and I also would come out to the truck after starting it to warm up in the morning or after work and it would be not running. Have had no issues since the new one.
It also tried to drive through the garage door by itself the day after I ordered the new one.

So the one on my 99 finally gave me enough grief to change it today. Interestingly enough the new PMD made it quieter less rattley. I'm also thinking it might be helping with my hot start issue won't know for sure for awhile, I had been thinking the H&R were getting long in the tooth. Butt dyno says I lost a smidgen of performance too. I also noticed a couple of times including today that my glow plug light would only flick on for about 1 second and then not start all while it was hot,I changed the PMD and instantly had a much longer glow time. I spent less than 5 minutes changing it out so it couldn't have been temperature related. Anyone have any thoughts as to why the PMD would affect the glows?

Option 1. Draw on the new pmd is less. Leaves more juice for the timer circuit of the gp relay.

Options 2. Truck is playing nicer because she likes the attention.

If my old memory serves me right, if you don't set timing & TDCO it may change from how it runs now in about 50 times starting it..it then identifies the resistor your using in it...

I had it set to -1.35 and my 96 was at -1.94. IIRC TD ran his obd2 for a year without the resistor and no issues but obd1 was a different story

So some interesting results from changing out the PMD. Better cold start better hot start and better mileage. Got around 50-60 more miles on the last tank.
