okay I have a 99 GMC burb, has been running great. PMC replaced and relocated roughly a year ago. Fuel filter replaced a month ago. IP replaced before I bought it roughly 2 years ago. I'm starting to get really frustrated with all the issues and need someone to point me in the right direction for the latest no start. Drove back and forth to town friday, sat, and sunday, no problem, truck cranked up like normal everything seemed fine.

Tuesday I go out to start the truck and it won't turn over, it cranks but won't start.

check for fuel at the filter top screw valve, I HAVE FUEL, so pump seems to be working I was able to check 5 of the glow plugs and all tested good with multimeter. couldn't get to the other 3, checked all the fuses, Batteries are good. I'm at a loss, leaning towards gp relay??? so I plugged in the block heater to try and help everything out, it hasn't been that cold, but it didn't seem to make a difference anyway. did smoke a little when starting up, but it always has. :mad2::mad2::mad2:

Welcome to TTS, and hang in there. There are some serious experts on this rig here they will get you going.

Just a couple things I can help with.
1. DO NOT use starting fluid!
2. Go under the reference library there is a sticky with a trouble shooting checklist: copy, paste, and fill it out. This will save a lot of time of back and forth questions.
3. Fuel from the filter does not mean fuel at the injectors. Loosening an injector line nut and observe while cranking- only a few drops come out each revolution, don't expect a ton of fuel. But don't even do that yet, the checklist is first so you aren't doing extra work or spending unneeded money on parts. Did the upper rad hose get warm from the block heater?

Do you have a Service Engine Soon light at key on? No - ECM is not getting power or bad. (Fuses grounds)
Do you get a glow plug or wait to start light? The light is wired to the glow plugs so it tells you if the glow plug system is getting power to the plugs.
Check grounds.
Check batteries and connections.

You need 100 RPM minimum to start cold, 150 hot. So weak batteries, starter, or corroded battery cables can slow your cranking down. It needs to crank fast to start not like a gas engine that will start barley turning.
