Anyone PlastiDip there truck yet? Im thinking of trying it on the Fiero or S10 first.
If anyone has, where is best place to buy it? I'd be looking to buy gallon containers and spray it with
a HVLP set up. I saw it done on Youtube looks really simple.

This guy has a bunch of vids. Check out his others, real cool stuff and many applications besides cars. This looks like an early job, I notice he uses a different HVLP system lately. (need to find out what he used to spray it. The HVLP in this vid looks like a Lowes/Home Depot rig.

Sorry I just don't 'get it'... no offense.

I put this right up there with painting your car with a roller and latex bathroom paint.

I don't get it on nice cars. I do get it on POS's where it being one color would be an improvement over the current condition...

Man you guys have no taste!

Will, do your Hummer Neon green.

I really like the concept of it. On a new car it allows for a color change without alot of money. It also protects the paint, and if you get tired of it then just peel it off. Seems like fun to me.
On an old car/truck it would give a much need face lift and a totally new look, again for not much money. They have some really nice colors too. Not all of them are "in your face". I like the charcoal, blues, white and silver. Pretty sure one of my vehiculars is getting PlastiDiped.

Didn't the movie The Jackal with Bruce Willis do something like that. Painted a van one color then right before or after using van in a terror plot peeled it down in a garage to change appearance. I can see some prank and mischief for this usage.

Seems like a lot of work for fun though if you wanted to peel it off later. But hey if you got the time and $ have fun. I think I'd rather do the rustoleum rattle can.

People around my way are starting to do it on their Vehicles, Motorcycles, ect...

There's even a few Shops that have Opened that Specialize in it.

Dip your car is gonna be your best bet to get stuff from. They're kinda like the Supplier King when it comes to doing your Vehicle.
