Hi.
What is the better and easier way to remove the pitman arm from the steering box? Seems to be very tight space and I do remember other threads pointing to this job as a PITA.
Remove the steering box from the frame and do the job out of the truck?
Thanks

I take the 3 box bolts loose and lay it over to the side and pull it. A puller will not go on it with the box atatched to the frame unless you drop the sway bar. It is much easier to take out the 3 bolts and lay it to the side and do it.

Yeah like Ferm said. You gotta pull it loose from the frame, typically the pitman starts coming off about the same time the puller starts to Crack.
