I have herd of some eliminating this, what is the majoritys opinion? also what effects to B0992/B0993 have on injection timing?

Also what is the maxium amount of inj timing that you are using ?

Im not very familiar with the LMMs and LBZs but on the LB7s we always just leave the pilot injection alone for the most part. No gain has been found by turning it off unless you want your truck to sound like a powerstroke.

A good measure for your injection timing is the smoke in the air. Tune so you have a light haze. This means your burning most of the fuel but keeping some extra in there to keep the pistons cool. Although fuel pressure also has an effect on this high pressure means it burns better low pressure means it burns dirty.

Again Im not very familiar with LBZs and LMMs. I would maybe give IdahoRob a call or somebody who really knows how to tune LMMs. They have the infamous piston cracking issues due to the cheap pistons and its usually a direct result of poor tuning in the timing tables, not something that a noobie can get away with just tinkering like on the LB7s and LLys which have MAHLE pistons.
