Permanent fuel pressure gauge options

I am just getting ready to install permanently mounted fuel pressure gauges on my vehicles. I've been talking about this since 1989 and haven't done it yet.

I guess it is finally time. Luckily there are more options now than there was then.


Also planning to do Feed the Beast mod as I go.

Can anybody recommend a good fuel pressure gauge to permanently mount on each vehicle in my small fleet?

I plan on doing Feed the Beast and fuel pressure gauge on each vehicle.

This is one I am considering. WhaT has everybody else used?

I want Leroy or Flying J to have a fuel pressure gauge kit as an option to the Feed the Beast mod. Your Amazon gauge might be a good start.

This version ships with a 0-60 PSI pressure sensor instead of the hydrogen purity sensor. .

There is a round single channel version pictured also for traditional 2 1/16 mounting - not this item - but see link below

It can measure and display two parameters at the same time. It can measure temperature, pressure and other important parameters such as battery voltage and air/fuel ratio. Two programmable alarms will turn on the LED in the front panel to get the driver's attention if the temperature/pressure is above the setting point. It will also close a relay output port that can be used to turn on a buzzer, shut off the fuel, or turn on a cooling fan. each channel contains one relay.

The meter stores the peak temperature/pressure with time stamps that can be checked later. It can also operate in the peak holding mode so that only the maximum value is displayed. The brightness of the LED display can be synchronized with headlight. When the headlight is turned on in the night, the display will be dimmed by the illumination signal. It can also be dimmed directly from the key pad.

Developed based on industrial grade instruments, this four digits gauge offers up to 10 times the resolution and accuracy of most 3 digits gauges on the market. For thermocouple sensor, this gauge have a cold junction compensation circuit to improve the accuracy at low temperature and reduce the temperature drift when a thermocouple sensor is used.

It can also be set up to be switch boxed between similar sensors for more monitoring of more than two parameters

IT CAN BE USED AS A FUEL PRESSURE GAUGE AND IS LAWFUL TO MOUNT IN THE CAB AS IT IS ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED AND NOT MECHANICAL WITH FUEL IN IT.

You need dual alternators to run any decent sized Hydrogen Generator system and the pump required to feed it at idle as a single alternator will not put out enough amps - even a high amp one

I like mechanical also. I trust them more. But for this application I am intending to go electric.

Unless you have a good mechanical option that I like
 
They have those displays on Amazon, just search Auber Instruments. I was going to (and still may) use on of those to make a custom 2-stage WMI setup. From what I've read they make good stuff, but I have no first-hand experience.
 
IMO: The best low buck way is to get a mechanical gauge you can read from the drivers seat as it sits near the trailing edge of your hood. This would entail you drilling an angled hole in hood and installing a half cup cover to install the gauge angled so you can see it, connect the gauge via good quality ss braided hose for flex when opening and closing the hood..
