Password reset G3 Imac???

I was given a G3iMac OSX, but the only problem is that the person who put in the password has passed on. I was given a few to try, but no luck. I was also told it could be bypassed, and if any one here can help me out, that would be greatly appreciated.

I also do not have CD's with the computer.

I received Mac OSX 10.3 today. install Disc 1 Upgrade disc,
Disc 2 & 3 install discs.

I reformatted, repartitioned the HD (55.9GB), but being the moron I am, I never payed attention to the discs, and I did all this with the upgrade disc, disc 1. Now I am not able to install anything else.

What to do now?

You mean OS9? Would 8.5 work??

I am not sure. And I am not sure if you need 9 to go from 8.5 to 10.x.

This one states that the firm ware is needed to be updated..

You may want to search around the discussions over there to get better(more knowledgeable) advice. I have Macs, I even have two of the older G3's for the kids to play with, darn things are rock solid. But to be completely honest, I just don't tinker with them enough to tell you a definitive answer.
