Well my truck engine passed the compression test with the clear tube connected to the dipstick tube. Wish I had known of that test BEFORE I bought the truck, but luckily it appears to be in good shape nonetheless. :thumbsup:
 
Good info fellas, I did it according to one of the websites reccomended by alot of people here. But they didnt mention these things that you guys did. I will make sure all of that is good to go and check it again. Thanks.
 
What about putting your hand over the oil fill tube (cap off, of course) for about 10 seconds? I have always heard that's a good one to check for blowby - noticing if there is any residue on your palm. Are there any cases where this is not a good test?
