i got a pac audio adapter for my nav yesterday and it is not working. i have it all wired and the backup camera works but the rest of the inputs dont show up. it is the pac-vci-gm2/av. it has the audio and video inputs for acc and switches via remote and the logic in the box, instead of using switches to turn one input in and off. it is like the remote is dead, or the infared reciever is dead. it also has an extra wire in the harness but it doesnt show on the directions anywhere????? any body else have this system?

ya best bet is to call Pac techs direct and they will walk ya through and try to help ya .The number is 800-854-3133. I installed the same one in my truck about 2 years ago and never had a problem yet . But I live on Long Island in Greenport . If ya need some help Ill help the best I can . I did own an car stereo shop and I am an installer

yeah the install went fine, i do enough of it at the dealer to be okay with it, but it just did not work. i called pac 4 times before someone would help me. they say it is now discontinued part and they cant help. but finally the last one i called new what i had and said it was defective send it back. so i did. nice product, but poor service just because they discontinued it. should still have some help for it ya know.

i do have a question though, say i got the kid watchin a movie in back, is there a way to have it hooked into the rear seat audio so i can still listen to music. we are going to va from ct this year and bob the builder and john deere heaven just wont get me there sane:D. but other times i wont mind listening to it throughout the whole truck if someone plays a comedy or something like it. understand my question????? i hope i explained it right.

ok no problem did they say why they discontinued it ? If ya have anymore question about audio stuff just let me know Ill try to help the best i could .

they say they discontinued it do to lack of sales. i guess forums like these promoted the other version with no inputs and a switch so much more.

well i talked to pac audio to day and i asked him if it was discontinued and he said it wasnt , so i dont know hows pullin ur chain lol . but with wireless headphones ya can still listen to what ya want and ur boy can still watch what he wants too , I just replaced my headphones to RF beacuse the IR ones that I had stop working after 2 months the ones I got was RF headphones Power Acoustik RF2CH 125 Dual Channel RF headphones .

okay, good news. i am not sure what is going on there, 3 guys knew nothing about it, then i got one who knew exactly what i had and new exactly what was wrong. even the ebay seller did not ask a single question once pac confirmed my suspicions. oh well. thank for the help. i think i answered my question to, i have a fm modulator that i can use, it is hard to explain my theory, but i am sure it will work:). thanks again.
