Got a P0236 that set the SES today while going down the interstate. Finally got to test out my scan tool . What is the deal with this. It is a turbo boost sensor code or something like that. I searched around here a bit, but with the turbo master, I am not sure if that is what caused it as I over boosted, but it never defueled. I was probably running 8-10lbs sustained for a while, maybe that is the culprit?

clear it and see if it comes back. I used to get that once in a blue moon with my 2000.

With stock programming if you run over 10psi boost for something like 20sec it will throw the code.

Same here. I cleared it and see what happens.

running stock program and a TM set for 10+ boost, you'll want to also include a fooler to lie to the PCM for how much boost you are making.

It has only happened probably a 2 or 3 times since I have had the turbo master, so right now I won't worry about it too much. It never came back today so... If need be I will back off my TM a bit. I have read about a fooler, but haven't had too much troubles yet so.

no more WG on my turbo ??? could be the why

Even with a TM control the WG solenoid/WG circuit still needs to have continuity, so possibly loose connection or bad WG solenoid on yours ?

Would MAP/Boost sensor throw a 1656?.......Or only WG related?
