It appears my main ground on the passenger side battery is a small guage wire that goes to the body right next to the battery.

Anyone add a 2nd ground maybe a 2 guage to block?

My voltage drops considerably when using my plow, and just wondering if this 2nd ground is enough.

I have both ground 4 ga to the block and a small cable (12 ga or 14 ga) ground to the body.

Yes, may be you should add the big ground. I am not sure if it will solve your problem but worth to try.

The more ground the better.

Not like this is news, but take off your grounds and wire brush them (I prefer using a cordless drill) clean, both wire and surface where it attaches. Snug them down good. Add and/or upgrade as nesessary.

I had a loose connection on the pass. side ground (the one going to the intake) and it really acted wierd until I tightened it up.

With a plow truck, you really want to do this in the late fall every year to keep your truck goin good. Down time leads to upset customers. Don't ask me how I know.

Yeppers. Gonna do it this weekend. I have the ground to intake bolt on PS. It was hidden behind a huge wireharness for my transfer tank, and behind turbo muffler and such. Gonna clean all grounds again come winter for preventative.

Don't forget the tiny wee little ground in front of pass batt on core support. Its for the headlites. Just for giggles, it might be worth taking starter off and cleaning contacts to ensure full juice when attempting to start.

I go over the tops of my batteries with a damp soapy cloth then dry off, if it not to cold out side, as there are a lot of minerals & chemicals flying around that need a nice place to settle with the roads being salted.....

Don't forget the one on the frame under the turbo by the firewall. that one has caused me some headaches.

unless you ran grounds directly to the batteries for your plow, a larger ground wire from the body to the battery is wise.your plow will use the body for ground.

Ground from the plug goes directly to the PS neg. It works fine, but drains my voltage down hard and bog down the heater fan.

I guess its normal for electric plows.
