Output line fitting size?

I tried searching, but couldn't find the answer.

Does anyone happen to know the size of the 4l80E (1998, if it matters) output line? More specifically, the fitting size? Are they a certain type of threads?

I'm adding an extra tranny cooler (mounted under the truck, with a fan) and I think what I need to do is transition from whatever the output is on the tranny to a nipple. Then to the cooler. Then another fitting to go from the new cooler back to the actual output line.

Oops. I should be more specific. I'm referring to the hydraulic transmission fluid lines. I guess it doesn't matter if it's the input line or the output line, does it?
