Ok this is driving me nuts and I cant seem to make a decision......I need some opinions here.

Im going to buy a set of the 37-4605 clear headlights from LMC. These are the ones with the glare caps. I want to replace my fogged parkights while im at it.

I just cant decide between buying the factory style, or the clear lenses like the new lights. I was looking at the 37-7336 lenses shown on this page here with the black trim ring. Now the other option is just buying replacement ones like the original. Same price, just different look. I dont mind the stock apperence, as im just trying to avoid making this look like a cheap ricer upgrade.

So what do you guys think?

i don't like the look of clear on an old truck. if it was a restore and it all aged the same, it would look good. make sure you get the year specific lens, the socket is diff but will fit with a little reworking.
i bought a set of LED's, 2 sets of 4, that i will be fabbing for the parking lights.

a little expensive, 120.00 per side but they are the brightest i have ever seen. as bright as fogs.

I was also apprehensive about going with either the clear/amber bulb, or clear/LED parking lights. It's all subjective; I'd seen both in person & clear lense parking lights just didn't look "right" to me. By the same token, their crystal clear 88-98 headlights really enhance appearance IMHO. Also think the factory got it right by painting the rings around the parklights & grille edges flat black.

My truck pics should give you an example of what the crystal clr hdlights/stock replacement park lights combo looks like.

Would guess a 'Net search out to yield pics of the other combo's you're considering. "Envisioning" isn't always my strong suit, so I look for pics to decide.

I agree with the black trim rings all day long. Ive seen ones without them and it just dosent look right IMHO.

Ive spent alot of time searching pictures online looking at everyone elses settups, and it seems almost everyone goes to an aftermarket parklight lense when replacing the headlights. I love the look of the lights, just wasnt sure on the parklights because I kind of favor the look of the stock ones.

So thanks for the picture with the stock lenses.....Anyone else have any photos or opinions to share?

I have the clear park lights and marker lights. The pics aren't the best but gives ya an idea. What I notice about the clear lights is the reflective covering on traffic lights, signs ect flashes when I turn on a signal light. Also when I had led rear tail lights it flashes faster and triggers lights. Here I guess the traffic lights have sensors to pick up flashing lights of emergency vehicles. campingoct2007038.jpg 61006_479502933528_553908528_6754379_4266326_n.jpg

Given the choices in that style, I like your selection, 37-7336. The black trim ring looks good to me, real good. I went with the LED units 37-7459 and upon reviewing the selections and comments, will be painting the trim rings black next time I'm working on the lighting.

For what it's worth, I was all set to replace my lights (VERY BADLY crazed/yellowed) about a year or two ago. I decided to give that 3M Lens Restorer kit a try. I'm glad I did - I was VERY impressed with the results. The lenses look like new. Granted, they don't have the same "look" as the ones you're looking at... but the kit was only about $20. Just some food for thought.

Looks great. Do you have HID headlights?

Tried some of the headlight restore "tricks" with compound, sandpaper etc. The lights are still very yellowed and fogged. Plus they overall performance of these lights are horrible anyways. Time to try something else.

I ended up ordering a set of the stock replacement lenses for the parklights. Parts sould be here tuesday. Ill be sure to post some pictures of the finished results.

It probably took me about an hour and half to do the two lights (maybe a little less). I tried some "home remedies", as well, but it wasn't until I used the 3M kit that it made a noticeable difference. It took some effort, but they did come out very nice. Oh well, can't blame anyone for wanting a different look or a better light anyways! I'll be curious to see what you're new lights look like.
