Lately the oil pressure has been slow to rise after starting....as if I had just changed the oil. Sometimes it just takes a 2-3 seconds, other times it might take 5-6 seconds. It used to be almost immediate. Maybe an air leak somewhere????

It goes up fast but it takes a long time to start moving. So you think something is blocking the OPS? I'll see if I can find a mechanical gauge. Thanks.

did you use the right filter? if you used one without the antiflow back valve (in a 4x4) it will do that all the time, cause the oil flows back out of filter, and, like after an oil change, It has to fill the filter before you will see pressure

I bet we have the winner.....

not sure of the filter brand but it was different than usual. Just made a real fast stop at the local shop and picked it up, then stuck it on; but I do remember that it was a different brand....

Some filters have marginal at best anti-drainback valves. I would suggest buying a quality filter and replacing your current one, see if that helps.

I hope it is that easy, huh? I have had really good luck with Bosch premium filters.....
