I'm on to my next issue...haha. The oil pressure gauge needle is pointing all the way to to the right when I turn the truck on. I'm thinking the gauge itself is bad because it did the same thing on the last motor I had in the truck. I think it started doing it around the time motor started going south.

Is there a way I can test it? And where does the sending unit for the gauge plug into the motor?

The sending unit(OPS) is at the back on the DS. it's hiding behind the GP controller. it sounds like the wire may be off. try grounding it and see if the gauge goes to the far left.

The wire was plugged in but I did unplug it and ground the wire and it went all the way to the left like you said. So does that mean the gauge is bad?

Oh ok, I don't know what I was thinking...haha. So the sending unit is called OPS (oil pressure something)? As far as replacing, is it as easy as unscrewing the old one out and screwing the new one in?
