Getting ready to change out the o rings on the 4x4 oil filter adapter on my truck.

I need to know what size bolt is holding it in place and is that the only one?

Any thing i should watch for or make sure i do while changing the o rings?

Thanks guys.

One big special bolt. Forgot the size..

And if I recall correctly, One copper sealing washer (head of big bolt).. Big oring (block to adapter).. and two orings in grooves on bolt- (i 'think')

Easy chore once it's off. Usually pretty tight.

Proceed with reckless abandon... :D

Plug the block heater in for a couple of hours and the bolt will come out much easier. It will also tighten better. I've had a couple that wouldn't budge and they came right out after the block was warm.

Make sure the parts you get match the parts coming off. The adapters vary design by year and no guarantee your year matches the adapter. People swap engines etc...
Get the O Ring from the dealer !!! Or Burning Oil, PMDCABLE.COM. Otherwise the parts store junk will have you doing the job again.
