( what is the point of paying for towing services with your insurance if the always charge you extra to get the truck where you need it not like i asked to have it towed home 100 miles it is sitting at dads 62 miles from that point) need to vent sorry!!!:mad2: back to tthe subject opinions on oil cooler lines from the parts houses need them in hand in the morning i know most people would recomend the dormans but i need this vehicel by monday any help changing them w columbia sc

Try and find a hydraulics shop that's open. They may be able to make new lines for you. In my opinion anything that resembeles oe is dissaster waiting to happen. Lubrication specialists make a good set-up out of stainless hose and hydraulic fittings with a new cooler that has common threads. It is cheaper than buying gm lines@ $75+ per line and having them leak within a month.

With that many miles, don't know how much rust you would have, but here in MI, the factory fittings to the block would be toast as well and need to be changed. And if you are at that point, might as well do some real plumbing with mechanical fasteners, ie npt fitting into block, then elbow into your choice of fitting, your choice of lines to the cooler, then figure out if you can salvage the cooler, if your old lines will unscrew out of it without stripping.
