I am looking to buy a packard Electric harness repair kit. from what i understand, it includes the tool, numerous connectors and plugs.

The GM number is 12085264
The Kent Moore number is j38125-4

I found this in my GM body builder book from 1991. Is this kit still available?

Any help/input appreciated, thanks!

The GM number is not good anymore; but try calling Kent Moore and see if they can still get one. This is probably one of the early versions of the terminal kits; currently we (dealerships) have about 20 trays of terminals and several crimp tools. Caspers electronics sells Weatherpack and Metripack specific kits, those are probably all you need if you mostly work on pre-2000 stuff.

so i just go to the Kent-Moore website, get a number, and call w/ the old KM number?

Should i go to a GM dealer to see if the # has been updated?

Kent Moore or SPX Kent Moore, something like that. They should be able to cross the J- number for you. They don't give us good info on special tool numbers; currently they send us updated trays as new terminals come into use, and they usually have their own J- number.
