My 3500 TD sounds "Really Kewl" according to my teenage son. The turbine noise is modest and the 6.5 has a drone to it but it's just a bit much after a few miles on the interstate. Any suggestions to quiet this beast down?

I did this stuff called fatmat. It's similar to dynomat. Put it under the carpet and in the doors. Made my stereo sound better and quieted down outside noises.

Firewall, cab floor, doors and under the hood with RAAMmat BXT II. More going on engine side of fire wall when motor gets swapped. Roof and side pannels would be better still.

My understanding is that installing a Fluidampr will also quiet the 6.5 down quite a bit.

Sincerely,

Rob :)

^^ I cannot dispute this, but it doesn't have anything to do with exhaust 'drone' me thinks.

Let's just say, I didn't buy mine for less noise. :D
