I have no wts and ops is pegged I hooked everything back up and know my truck won't start.

Ok found my blown fuse but ops is still pegged all the way all my wires are hooked up to original wires I gave up on the mod maybe my new oil pressure sensor broke? The gauge is all the way to the passenger side. Or did I blow the oil gauge motor out I did by accidentally short wires out and blew the fuse.

Took the cluster out took the face off pushed the needle back down soon ad I turn the key it goes up put it back down unplugged the ops and turned the key it went right back up. Well the ops mod messed everything up well I did anyway where can I hook a electronic gauge or mechanical gauge up on this truck I don't want to drive around not knowing my oil pressure.

You have 3 wires to the OPS. +12v Power, fuel pump, and gauge. The 12v is always hot no matter if the ign is off or on. It goes to the fuel pump when there is oil pressure.

The Gauge will have voltage with the ignition on and goes to ground through the sensor.

To figure out what wire you need for the gauge at the OPS do the following. Look up the colors or:

Probe the connector for 12v and eliminate that wire as the issue. Key on and see the second wire with 12v - that will be the issue or no 12v. If you only have 1 wire with 12v with the ignition on turn the lift pump on and that will give you 12v back at the OPS connector so you can eliminate the lift pump wire. Jump the lift pump relay by removing it and use a paperclip to turn on the lift pump or you can apply 12v to the OBDI connector and that turns on the lift pump - Pin G - it's the other side of the connector and the other row corner to the two pins you jump to read codes. Literally diagonal. Look up OBDI connector images to locate it.

When you find the gauge wire - use a paperclip and ground it at the ops connector. This should move the gauge. Your wire is either shorted to ground or open. Of course new parts don't mean F all and will be bad out of the box. We are just eliminating wiring

WTS is driven off the glow plugs. So the relay has to energize, driven by the ECM, and then the glow plugs have to have power to light the WTS lamp. As the glow plug relay connector is in the way did you unplug it? Do you have 12v to the one of the glow plug relay nuts? Do you get a SES light with key on indicating ECM power?

You shorted the 12v by the blown fuse. You may have blown other fuses or fusible links. A common wire for 12v power could be OPS and Glow plug relay. There is a lot of fuel heater etc. on the glow plug power wire.

Well the truck starts know it was just the fuse I'm just trying to fix the gauge know. The no starting was the ECM fuse.

The new bwd oil pressure sensor wasn't grounding I guess some how I fried it but it was never plugged in when I shorted the wire out.
