I put a kilo of 134 in the system today because it wasn´t blowing as cold as it should. Now the light in the AC button doesn´t come on (it was working before the recharge) and its still not blowing as cold as it should:mad2:. The commpressor engages when the button is pushed in but no light.

Is the light controlled by pressure? Should I put some more 134 in the system. Whats the coolant capacity for this ac system? 1995 6.5 Suburban.

Thanks for any help.

Gus

There should be a sticker on your dryer that has the specs for your system that should display that amount of Freon required for the system. The best thing to do is put a set of gauges on it! I believe it won't work if overcharged.

light is not controlled by pressure. Could've just burned out.

Make sure you do not over-charge the system. An overcharged system will work poorly, if at all.
