So after all these years and vehicles I've never looked into aftermarket rims. Never been a big thing for me, just use what it comes with. I'd like to replace the second set of rims I bought awhile back because I didn't realize that 16x6.5 was not recommended for 265/75 tires. Didn't realize back then that my truck came with 16x7 rims to accommodate the larger tire.

So I've been searching various internet sites and the results tend to show a lot of 16x8 and 16x8.5 rims. I know they would fit my bolt pattern but are they recommended for 265/75 tires? Is that getting too wide?

I kinda like this style http://www.discounttiredirect.com/d...2005&pc=22997&counter=1&wd=16&rw=8&vid=016639

No final decisions yet but within the next 365 days I'll most likely be buying 2 sets of tires and one set of rims for the truck. I need to spread the "joy" out a little, can't afford that kind of bill all at once.

8 inch is the max you want to go for a 265 tire....now it is perfect for a 285 tire the you could get with a short side wal to keep the overall height down, just watch you back spacing and offset no matter what rims you get...
