On new trucks and trailers, is the 7-pin flat blade(round housing)/RV style becoming the most common? If not, what is?
Here on the farm, we are trying to run 6-pin round (5 in a circle, 1 in the center) but looking at wiring lately, the 6 pin seems to be on the way out.
So, i guess my question is, should i be putting a 7-pin coupler on my truck to stay with the times? we are switching it over from 4-pin round, and i was thinking, since we slowly upgrade the trailer fleet over time, if it would be better to start off with 7-pin on the truck, as long as the new trailers are already coming with 7-pin.
Also, is there any advantages to run the 7-pin over the 6-pin?
