the others on the site were $136.00 -$166.00 plus shipping so i was pleased. will try to get it in on Sat and get the values adjusted. looks to be a genuine GM part but not sure if it's a copy.

i am getting an SES light at certain throttle positions, intermittently and shifting is acting strange. it was perfect with the one i had put on originally but it went out so i 'borrowed' one from a friend and it 'worked' but shifting was shifty. now for the past week before vacation, the SES.

i took the original one apart to see what made it tick and the contacts were so worn they weren't making contact. there was no fixing it and no way to modify it.

put in the TPS yest but symptoms are still the same, although the SES light doesn't come on as often. thinking it might be the TCM. didn't get to make a run to the JY like i had hoped. the part number on this is for the older 6.2's so i had to clip off the plug and wire it to the original plug. gave me a good place to make contact to set the voltage and it saved me $100.00.

My 92 in my sig would loose the throttle signal after about 7 miles. Had to shut off the engine and restart to get it working again. I drove with my tech 1 connected to find out that it was loosing the signal. I'd loose OD and lock-up when it lost the signal. My TPS checked good. It was bad ecm/tcm. Luckily I had a spare. Last I checked the tcm was only $130 at rockauto. With a scan tool you can make shure you are not missing the engine rpm, input and output speeds also.92-93 only uses the 4 input sensors.

.............I drove with my tech 1 connected to find out that it was loosing the signal...........
how much did the tech 1 set you back, where is best place to buy? saw 1 at advance for 30.00, sunpro, good one?

I bought the tech 1 used off craigslist. It has all the latest updates. I don't remember exactly what I paid for it but it was less than $200 for shure. Other scan tools like a snap on mt2500 or a OTC genesis will work fine on a 92-93. Newer than 93 with a diesel requires a tech 1 or tech 2 or scanning software. If you buy a Tech 1, be shure it has the "Mass Storage" cartridge. The Mass storage cartridge is updatable and replaces most other cartridges for a tech 1.

checked rock, tcm was 80.00 and 100.00 after core return. not bad.
will check the JY for one. last one i found they wanted 50.00 and i thought that was high. would be good for a core just in case it didn't work and the truck wouldn't be down bc of it.

I'm without a spare tcm now. I should hunt for one also. I have 3 trucks that use that same tcm.

that's what mine has been doing for about a year now, maybe longer. i put in a TCC switch and another one on the OD at the TCM. works normal except i have to manually flip 2 switches. i'm afraid if i let someone else drive it(wife) the trans would get burned up. i found one but need to get some smack.
