Ordered my rims and tire's today. American Racing Black Mojave Teflon coated and 285/75R16 BFG AT KO. I called the stealer to get a price on adjusting the speedo = $70, does this sound reasonable or should I be looking elsewhere and if so where should I look. Thanks.

It sounds like they are charging you labor to adjust the speedo with a Tech II. If that's all that you want, and do not have access to a programmer or EFI Live, I suppose that it is a fair price.

Mick, good choice in wheels and tires. That mirrors mine. Also, I wouldnt pay $70 to have the speedo adjusted. That seems like alot. You're not running a programmer? They're worth their weight in gold in times like this when you could save yourself $70.

Be sure to put up some pics....

After seeing CtChevy427's truck, it seems that I have developed the "itch"...

I thought you would like them. I went with the teflon caps, I see yours are chrome. I want EFI live but don't have the coin at this point. I'm still looking around for some one to do it for less.

Will do but I will wate untill my black covers come in, there back ordered the rest should be in next week. Nick has me itching for a tuner now.

It cost me $35 at one dealership to have my speedo updated for my winter tires (LT245-75R-16E -> LT235-85R-16E) and it cost me nothing to have it reverted a week ago when I put the summer tires back on, different dealer. It literally takes 5 minutes with a Tech2.

Thanks for the info, trust me I am not bashful I will confront the stealer and it helps to be able to give examples of cheaper rates. I'll let you know how I make out.

Installations Unlimited called today, my rims and tires are in but they are waiting on the caps. Hopefully I can get them on Monday.

Mine were supposed to come with the black center caps too but they made a mistake and they came with the chrome ones instead. Once I saw them on there, I was glad because I liked it right away.

Scheduled to mount on Wednesday, they told me that they shipped with chrome caps that they will switch out when the black ones come in.

I used to run Teflon Mojaves w/ the black caps on my old 6.0 Vortec. Green truck with black rims. I loved the look. You're gonna do the same I bet. Great wheels!!
I went a little different this time and ordered a set of black KMC Enduro's. They've been on about a 90 day backorder. Apparently the factory had to do a whole new production. No one in the country seemed to have them 3 months ago when I ordered. Weird, but I guess it was true. Should almost be ready. I'm excited to see them on this black truck.

I talked to the stealership today and asked why it was so much? The manager went and talked to the tech. and came back with a price of $32. Thanks for the info, it sure helps to have some ammo when talking to these guys.

 Glad I could help. I had to lean a little to get two of my transmission lines warrantied.

Our local dealer won't re-program our computer for the tires. Time for a Tuner!!!

One dealer said no, another had never done it before and two others wanted one hrs labor. The dealer I bought the truck from came through after I had the talk about the price. Oh yea I also had one dealer tell me the only way it could be done was with an after market tuner.

Picture's are from my phone, I'll post better ones when the black cap's come in.

Look great Mick. We share the same taste but it looks really good with your color. I like the center caps in chrome better than black. It gives it something to look at.
