Put the 3rd set of BFG ATs on today. 285s on the stock PYOs. 65k this time because 1 of 'em was out of round and I couldn't run it on the front. 1st set went 79k. Yeah they cost alot but they've been the best all around tire I've ever had. This is my 6th set of them. I had to get a new idler arm installed while I was at it. Had I known it was bad, I would have done it myself and saved a bunch of $...

Oh... and Pepp, you know the RWLs are out... Just for you buddy!:D

I understand why you had to do it...otherwise when I see a truck in the random garages up top I wouldn't know it was yours... ;)

Very nice, I like me the white letters out as well. I will be tire shopping soon, too bad I've heard very few good things about those tires with the soil types we have here.

I never had good luck with them. But, I'll probably be putting them on this new truck soon and give them another shot. They are a great looking tire..

The guys at the tire shop that is located 1/4 mile from me across the corn field all like my truck alot so I did a poll when I got there about letters out or in. All 6 said "out".
These tires are excellent in the snow, good in soft ground in the field, and get excellent life. They do steal mileage due to rolling resistance and if you drive alot of rocks/gravel, they aren't the tire for you.
The tricks I've found to better life are to read the tires carefully for wear pattern which means run 42-45 psi on PYOs but most important is rotating every 12-15k which for me is every other oil change. I do X, F-R, X, F-R then repeat.

You're doing something we can't Mike. The best set of tires we've had on the Duramax is the current Transforces, and they have about 5k left after 30k.
