I was leaking coolant from the driver's side of the radiator. I thought it was a leaking petcock. I took it to the local radiator shop to have a look. He determined that it was a crack in the side tank. I pulled the radiator and took it to him to rebuild. For some reason, he could not get the new side tanks to seal up. He told me that my radiator was bad and needed to be replaced.

I purchased a rad at a local shop. Installed it but had a leak at the lower hose. Seems that old hose was too large for new radiator. I replaced the lower hose which fits a little better, but still seems too large. I am leaking really bad now, but cannot figure out if it is still that lower hose connection.

Has anyone had a problem with new radiators not having the same size fittings?

Is there a trick to getting the larger hose to fit on the new radiator fitting?

Very frustrated. It is leaking worse now than with the cracked side tank on the old radiator.

Thanks,
Todd

retightened the lower hose connection. I finished up at about 11 pm Sat night and probably did a lowsy job.

Started to fill the reservoir and leaking from water pump. Replaced the water pump and now no leaks.

Although I am getting a code P0118 (see new post).
