Just had a new PMD and IP installed 30k ago per wwarranty, I'm now over the warranty period (130,000) and remember somewhere that Stanadyne had a 2 year warranty on all pmd's installed regardless of the miles on the truck? i did some searches but can't find anything. Got any ideas as where to look?

Any warranty is on the IP only... dead and or dying PMDs are your problem, which would be why Heath or PMDcable sell a 7-yr warranty.

Everybody else? You're lucky if you get 30 days.

Believe the 2 yr stanadyne pmd warranty was introduced with their new "improved" grey model .Cant recall how long ago it came out. If possible may be well to talk to a Stanadyne dealer or the company directly

Ok, so I have a Grey PMD and my truck just roasted its tires at a stop light saturday. How can I get ahold of someone at Standyne and is there someone prefered to speak to? The PMD was installed by the dealer i bought the truck from almost exactly a year ago but stupid me didn't get a receipt.

My new gray Stanadyne PMD didn't make it through the 1st hour :nonod: :mad2: :skep:

Mine has to be the reason my truck has been acting up, that combined with a worn out IP. The truck dies all the time hot or cold, no power somedays, occaisional rough running, but ALWAYS starts great though. Now I can stack a run away sympton on top of that.

I am hoping to get it covered but don't know how to go about that.

Yup mine was Brandy New friggin thing had me out in the 10DegF weather pulling plungers out of the fuel solenoid, checking lift pump pressures, changing 1 month old fuel filter, getting codes 35 & 36 making me think oh NO not the IP now please not that yadayadayada....

Then just for chits & giggles I thought why not try to change the PMD weirder things have happened right? After I changed it, it started & ran like new money...me & my son looked at each other could not believe it I'll be a monkeys uncle along with a few other choice cuss words...ya just never know.

No what we really need is an easy way to hook a throttle cable up to the DS4 IP lol!

Mine hasn't been relocated due to the "custom" hack job adapter made for my Grey PMD and i won't do that to my new IP wiring but haven't got the chance to change it and get an adapter cable from pmdcable. An adapter cable WILL be on my order. I am not sure if I will get another grey or not, seems like they are all just a crap shoot.
