Well I pulled the trigger on a new set of (4) LTX M/S2 Michelin Tires for my 2006 Truck. Michelin has a 70 dollar rebate right now so I decided to go for it. My factory Bridgestone tires that came on the truck were pretty well shot. I had been running the Blizzak snow tires during the winter, but due to a mild winter I decided to go ahead and get those off of the truck. I have two sets of wheels so I just swap the all season tires and snow tires back and forth in the fall and spring.

So far the new tires ride real well and don't make much noise. I am not going to do any serious off roading with the truck so I went with a less aggressive tire tread design. I suppose time will tell as to how well they will perform.

They are a great tire. Good luck with them and keep us updated on the tire wear over time. How many miles did you get from the factory Bridgestones?

Dad got 25K from his and had to FIGHT Michelin for the warranty. The finally credited him $500 back 3 months later.

I bought a set of them and din't like the extra height, so I sold em to my uncle. He's got about 50K on em and they still look almost new. I'm currently running teh older LTX/MS's on my BURB and with 30K miles they are still like new.

Probably about 36,000 miles or so on the factory Bridgestones. Two of the tires were getting down there pretty good on tread and gravel had taken some chunks out of the tread. The other two which I ran on the front were a little more than half wore out. The problem with the ones on the back was on wet pavement. As you know too heavy of a throttle on wet pavement could make one spin sideways even at 30 or 40 mph. I could have run them no problem this summer until next fall and added another 3000 or so miles, but I thought what the heck, Michelin has the 70 dollar rebate til 3-24-12, so I went for it. I feel better with new tires on wet roads. The LTX M/S 2's have alot of tread and the ride real well so far.

I am going to put them to the test tomorrow. I am going to deer camp to get the (home away from home) hunting camper. That will be about a 500 mile round trip so also I might check the fuel mileage going up empty.

Thanks for the report back. I got around 45K on my original Bridgestone's. I had plenty of tread left, but the sidewalls were all dry rot cracked. I am very surprised to hear the issues with Michelin's. I know several people around me that get high mileage out of them (75-90K) The Michelin's are a hard compound rubber tire.
