I've been doing some heavy reading on here and the other "place" for a while now, figured I better post up some info and pics of the truck.

I picked it up on eBay before Christmas, and love it so far. It's a bit tight for our family of 5, but finding a crew cab 4x4 SRW in my price range wasn't happening.

It's a 96 K2500, NV4500, 4.10s. I drove it home from NC to IN straight through, and had zero problems. Averaged about 17 MPG cruising at 65 through the hills of WV and KY. Pretty much stock minus a SS Diesel PMD relocate, which I plan on moving further to the bumper. PO had a GN ball in the bed, and judging by all of the dust in the dash, it was a farm truck at some point. The body is a little beat up, but for $4k, I can't really complain. The drivetrain is solid and the undercarriage is rust free.

Plans are PMD relocate, open up intake/exhaust, injectors eventually and then general maintenance.

Blah blah blah, here's the pics :D The rear end looks like it is sitting funny, it's just the driveway.

Nice truck, also sweet to have the 5spd,you will get lots of ideas here.

What's that long rod coming out of the floor with an eight-ball on the end?...

Score! Nice truck! Congratulations!

Ya thats a nice truck, find you a used tailgate and your looking good.

:nono: Why buy a tailgate? This one is already scratched so the owner does not have to worry about loose cargo adding 'more' dents.

Looks like a good deal from eBay...

Yeah, if I happen across a better tailgate for cheap, then I'll go for it. This one works, and is "pre-treated" so I'm not going to worry about it.

Welcome. Nice looking truck. Tailgates always catch hell. At least you know it was used as a truck.

Welcome. Sharp truck.

Goose ball in the bed & a high dent on the outside of the tailgate is uncommon. It's not usually backing in that gets 'em. It's setting the jack(s), unhooking, & forgetting the tailgate up while pulling away that causes the more common outward bowed tailgate.
