New 6.5 owner and member!

Welcome!

I think we have one other guy relatively close to us and he is near Baton Rouge...He sold his 6.5 and got a Duramax, but I think he sold the Duramax and is back in a 6.5 again(not sure)

I'm trying to remember who that is(????)
when I figure it out I'll post it up

Good looking truck man. My uncle lives in Natchitoches. Y'all got some great duck and goose hunting down there in your neck of the woods.

That was my first pick but I shoped over a year and could not find a descent one. Ended up with a white wagon body. Im jealous. It looks in great shape.

Thanks, my truck isn't running at 100% and I'm looking for some local expertise. I'm having a hard time finding a mechanic. With that said, I smile everytime I got to the garage! Let me know if your uncle likes cold beer in exchange for some advice.

Sand...I've been looking for a while and I got lucky. What year is your wagon?

97.5
In retrospect the enclosed area is dry and secure so it really was a more practical choice for me. Its a daily driver with a full load of tools. It takes a while to get them up to scratch but then they're great.009A0333 (2).jpeg

Welcome. Send your future mechanic our way and we will help em out. Maybe even help spend your money on mods... :D

Hey, nice lookin rig! Goodyear GSA's,? What size,17?

I really miss my 37 12.50 16.5 GSA tires.

@Sand Hey! The dirt under your rig is all white! What happened?!?

I just swspped my toyo mt's off and put my Goodyears back on for the summer. They are a few inches thinner and stwer so nice. The 13.5 wide toyos got pulled all ove by the road crown.
Its a 20 yr + old truck so in the next 6 monts expext to do some batteries, a starter, a waterpump, an alternator, fix some leaks etc etc. At least its holding its value! This place is excellent for anything GM related on your truck.

That pic was this winter. Good fun but glad its all gone. 7200 pounds never stops fast in snow....
