new 06 mirrors acting screwy

I just got a set of the 06 camper mirrors. I had the power fold, heat, turn small mirrors; replaced with 06 power, heat tow mirrors.

they look really good and they were easy to install. Still need to level them but thats not the issue.

Whenever I get out of the truck, lock it and come back and unlock with the key fob, the mirrors both move to where you only see the ground.

I have tried to program them with the little 1 and 2 buttons but each time they do the same thing. I even disabled the curb function when in reverse.

so, anybody know what to do. I can't stand to have to readjust the mirrors every time i unlock the truck.

You need to have it reprogrammed with a Tech II from the old mirrors to the new mirrors using the codes from the mirrors. The sticker in the glove box should tell you what you had and the GM sticker on the box the new ones came in should have it on there.

I did the same thing and after reprogramming them they worked fine.

The tow mirrors will not have the memory feature as the old ones did. Atleast mine do not. But they should not move when you hit the key fob anymore.

well, dangit! this is the first time anybody said anything about having to get them reprogrammed that I could find.

Everything I read was they were plug and play (so to speak) on the 04 and up.
