How much vacuum should a 6.2/6.5 vac pump make?? loss my brake's yesterday (Yes still using the Gasser Brake booster have not had time to convert) got a hard pedal, So I assumed the vac pump went out. Pulled it off today and bench tested it with my Mini Vac and a drill to spin it. It's making 15- 16 In.Hg is this low or high for the pump??? Reinstalled it and felt the vac at the booster ( Just with my thumb) and feels low. Any Ideas?? Or is it time to finally do that hydro boost upgrade because the boosters gone?

I don't think that the vacuum pump on these was designed for a brake booster. The booster has a large diaphragm. I think the pump should pull about 20". I would have tested it on the engine though.
