Question for you electrical guys......I've got driving lights installed under my rear bumper so i can see at night and in the morning when backing the boat in. I've got a toggle switch back there that is now shot. I'd like to hook those lights to the factory plow package light switch on my dash. The only thing that switch does now is turn on the white light in my 3rd brake light. Can i do it??

Yep, I'd hope you are using a Relay Harness for the Lights, so if you are, just extend the Trigger Wire long enough that it'll reach Inside the Cab, Pop out the Switch, and Tap into the Power Wire and you're good.

any reason for not hooking it straight into the trailer harness. that is what i did for my truck so every time i put the truck into the revese the lights go on. just another option unless oyu want controll of the lights to keep them on when not in reverse.

the way mine are set up is with a 2 position toggle in the cab, up is the lights on. middle is the lights off, period. and down is the lights on when in reverse. i grabbed a feed from the battery, with an inline fuse, to the bottom termenal, ran two wires to the rear, one to the middle termenal which goes to my added lights, and the other to the top termenal which ties into the backup wire on the trailer harness. no relays here, and it works perfect.

only issue is when the lights come on in reverse, it is just a touch dimmer than when the switch turns them on.
